Roll out the truckles – 20th January is National Cheese Lovers’ Day! In other words, it’s the perfect excuse to prepare a generous spread of Snowdonia cheeses and chutneys.
When we first introduced Black Bomber – our flagship extra mature Cheddar – in 2001, it was an instant hit. In the years that have followed, this little black truckle has been joined by a rainbow-coloured range of 11 other waxed Cheddars and Red Leicesters that are now sold in more than 25 countries and have scooped up multiple awards.
Everyone has their favourite Snowdonia cheese – and whether you love the classic flavours of Red Storm and Rock Star or prefer to relish a wedge of earthy Truffle Trove or spicy Red Devil, there is something for every cheese lover. And we even have a collection of five traditionally made chutneys, made using our own secret recipes, to pair with them.
We’ve also become famous for our luxurious cheese hampers: the perfect present for any lover of good cheese. From simple cheese-and-chutney gift baskets to opulent wickers brimming with deli treats, chocolates, wine and more, each one is carefully packed, chilled and posted and delivered to their door.
