This month’s Discovery Box brings together four cheeses with fruity chutneys and crackers to create a cheeseboard made for sunny afternoons and barbecue season.
Black Bomber and Rhubarb & Gin Chutney are a classic pairing – the chutney’s sweet-sharp rhubarb and botanical notes balance the richness of our award-winning extra mature Cheddar in just the right way. Beech Wood is naturally smoked over beechwood chips, and our sun-baked Spiced Tomato & Vodka Chutney complements its crackling-campfire character beautifully.
The same chutney is equally at home spooned onto wedges of Green Thunder, harmonising with the cheese’s zingy garlic and herb flavours without stealing the spotlight. And you’ll discover new layers of toasted caramel flavour within Amber Mist – our mature Cheddar with single-malt whisky – when you serve a sliver on a sweet Fig & Cranberry Cracker.

THIS MONTH'S CHEESE CUTS
River
Remove the wax and cut the cheese diagonally into thin rectangles. Cut across the rectangle to create two triangles. Place a pair of the triangles next to each other and then repeat the process to create a “river” shape.
Valley
Cut 1cm-thick slices across the truckle. Take each slice and cut diagonally to form a triangular shape. Arrange in an alternating “valley” shape.
Peaks
Cut the truckle across the circumference to form two thinner circles. Take each circle and cut into four quarters, then halve each quarter again. Arrange standing upright on the board.
