The quality and provenance of our cheese was once again endorsed at The Great Taste Awards last week, where Bouncing Berry was awarded a star. Our mature Cheddar is a sweet addition to any cheese board, with bursts of real cranberries throughout the creamy cheese.
Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. More than 500 judges working in small teams, blind tasted over 12,000 products, looking for truly great taste. This year the judging roadshow visited Llandrillo College, north Wales, as guests of the Welsh Government.
The judges recognise a quintessential British cheese brand
Bouncing Berry – “A very sweet and cranberry tasting cheese, with good pieces of cranberry. The cheese does carry the flavour and there is a sweetness of taste which is very pleasant”
Commercial Director Richard Newton-Jones commented: “We are incredibly proud of this Great Taste star for Bouncing Berry. This cheese – as with the rest of the range – has developed its own character, and is lusciously sweet and moreishly creamy. It’s very pleasing to know that for the second year running, the quality and flavour of Snowdonia cheese has received the prestigious Great Taste seal of approval.”
